Monday within the framework of the qualifying elimination phase for the Olympic Games of Tokyo 2021 (Concacaf zone) our Grenadiers after their defeat against Honduras [3-0] faced Canada on the lawn of the "Akon stadium" of Guadalajara (Mexico).

Our Grenadiers had to beat a Canadian team within their reach, to keep their chance of qualifying, unfortunately they had to settle for a draw [0-0] and win their first point.

Lots of blunders in the first half for our Grenadiers who missed several opportunities to score goals. Returning from the locker room while the score was still [0-0], several great opportunities from our Grenadiers unfortunately did not succeed, Pertémis, the Canadian goalkeeper, put to the test 4 times by shots from Haiti retained his clean sheet, Canadians who dominated the game with 54% possession.

Only consolation, the Haitian goalkeeper Alan Jérome was sublime with his extraordinary and decisive parades. A performance very noticed by the authorities of CONCACAF who awarded him the Prize for best player of the match.

1 - Honduras 4 points (+3)

2 - Canada: 4 points (+2)

3 - Salvador: 1 point (-2)

4 - Haiti 1 point (-3)

To qualify they need a big win over El Salvador and a loss for Canada in their game against Honduras on Thursday.
